My Hometown: Tucson, AZ
Surprisingly, Tucson has done a very good job in recent years of getting some good gluten free options and several safe kitchens. We now have 3 dedicated gluten free restaurants/bakeries and many of their products can even be found at other restaurants in town.

List of Restaurants:
Gourmet Girls Gluten Free Bakery/Bistro
- Dedicated Gluten Free
- I recommend the breakfast sandwich or breakfast quesadilla
- Now open for dinner Friday & Saturday, breakfast and lunch until 3 pm every other day
Dedicated (Previously called Got2B Gluten Free)
- Dedicated Gluten Free
- GF menu
- Corn tortilla tacos, quesadillas, salads
- Use caution when dining here. I had a very bad experience 1/31/14 with incredibly disappointing staff training and the manager (Angel) also had a lack of knowledge. Info I got today completely conflicted with what I’ve been told in the past.
- Today, I was told the chips were fried in their usual dedicated fryer, but they added churros to that fryer. The manager said they would stop doing this – but just be careful and ask questions.
- Dairy: The roasted chicken is not DF (cream marinade), but the baja is. The rice has dairy due to all the butter,
- Gluten: The Award Winning BBQ pork tacos are not GF, French fries are fried with beer-battered shrimp so not gf, chips have always been in dedicated fryer in past, but not today.
- Breakfast & Brunch options, as well as dinner
- Gluten Free identified on menu
- Almost everything is gf with corn tortillas except boca balls, fried items, and some fish. Avoid pasta salsa.
Core Plus at Park Student Union (at the U of A)
- Dedicated gluten free restaurant serving omelets, stir fry, quesadillas, fajitas, and salads!
- Make sure you ask that this is still true; it could change at any time.
