“There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.” – Jo Walton
So I have to be honest. I am not a morning person. The only sunrises I ever see are when I have to catch an early flight, a sunrise trail ride, or be up before the crack of dawn for some other rare reason. It’s really too bad though, because I live in a place with some of the best sunrises in the world. What I do catch are the sunsets and they truly are miraculous.
A beautiful thing about waking up so early, is you get to watch the world wake up. There is a certain peace this hour of the day, when everything is right and all are still safe in their homes. This morning I woke up for the sunrise. It felt like a secret that only a few people are in on. It’s a time with no texts, phone calls, or interruptions. The sunrise is like God’s way of saying, just relax and enjoy this moment. Keep it with you and don’t let the worries of today come out from behind the darkness.
You may notice that this post is out of order in the 100 Positive Days. It just wasn’t the right day to wake up for a sunrise. Today? Today was the right day 🙂
