Skill: Day 14 #100PositiveDays

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.” – Erma Bombeck

Everyone is good at something, eventually. It may not come natural, it may not be easy, but we all get there. What do I pride myself in?

Event-planning for Non-profits.

Don’t ask me why, or what drew me to it. I suppose the answer would be my desire to save the world; but for whatever reason I am really, pretty good at planning events/fundraisers and working through the logistics of non-profit organizations. I don’t have any formal background in it but when a small non-profit needed my help, I just started picking up where work needed to be done.

Most recently I planned a Gluten Free Awareness Expo that was city-wide, and had a lot of support from a local hospital. Somehow the event was huge and we really pulled it off! I think about it now and wonder how it all actually happened, because it seems like a blur. But when it comes down to it, I have passion for community events and raising money for causes I believe in and so I feel no choice but to make it happen.
